Our History

Since the beginning, Erickson-Rochon and Nash Funeral Homes has been committed to serving the needs of the community with services designed to aid you and your loved ones in making thoughtful decisions about final arrangements. We understand the security of dealing with people you know and trust and have provided death care to families in this area for longer than any other firm. We are very proud of our tradition, our staff, and the services that we provide which include traditional, contemporary and cremation services tailored to your individual needs. Our staff of six licensed funeral directors continually looks for new and better ways to serve our families and we consider it a privilege to assist you during your time of need.

  • Thomas W. Nash

    Thomas W. Nash Owner/Manager

    Tom has been a resident of the Iron Mountain area since 1976. He graduated from Assumption Catholic High School in Wisconsin Rapids, WI in 1972 and went on to attend Milwaukee Area Technical College, graduating from their mortuary science program in 1975. The next year he moved to Iron Mountain with his wife, Kathleen (nee, Hamm), and took a position as a licensed funeral director with the Erickson-Rochon Funeral Home. He purchased the business in 1981 and has been serving the families of the community since that time. He and his wife, Kathleen, have three children, Matthew (Tamara) Nash, Nicole (Jack) Cook and Natalie (Justin) Oberdorfer. They are members of St. Mary & St. Joseph Catholic Church. Tom feels blessed to live in such a great community and help others during their time of need.

  • Matthew R. Nash

    Matthew R. Nash Licensed Funeral Director

    Matt was born and raised in the Iron Mountain-Kingsford area. He attended Dickinson Area Catholic School through the 8th grade and graduated from Kingsford High School in 1995. Following three years at Northern Michigan University, Matt attended Worsham College of Mortuary Science graduating in 1999. He and his wife, Tamara (nee, Clarke) reside in Kingsford and have four children, Isaac, Ellery, Alivia and Easton. They are members of American Martyrs Church. Matt is extremely proud to follow in his fathers footsteps and serve the community with integrity and compassion.

  • Scott D. Lutey

    Scott D. Lutey Licensed Funeral Director

    Scott has lived in the Iron Mountain area since 1983. Scott received his degree in Mortuary Science from Wayne State University in 1982 and has been licensed to practice in both Michigan and Wisconsin for 40 years. He and his wife Kelly have two children; Jessica (Jeff) Simon and Michael (Courtney) Lutey and five grandchildren. Scott is proud to be part of the legacy of professional service and compassion Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Homes continues to provide the community.

  • Thomas F. Erickson

    Thomas F. Erickson Licensed Funeral Director

    Tom has worked as a full time funeral director since graduating from Worsham College of Mortuary Science in 1999. He grew up in Lower Michigan and graduated from Lahser High School in Bloomfield Hills in 1990. He spent five years doing mission work in Dallas, Texas. He then spent two years in the United States Army where he was stationed first in Fort Leonard Wood, MO and then in Fort Lee, VA. Tom has loved working as a funeral director for the past 23 years. He and his wife, Maria, (nee, Dougoveto) have six children (Daniel, Sarah, Timothy, Esther, Ruth and Anna) and love living in the Upper Peninsula where they enjoy many outdoor activities. Tom is proud to be able to serve the families in the Iron Mountain area
