Patricia A. Weege Patricia "Pat" Weege, beloved wife, mother, mother-in-law and grandmother, passed peacefully into eternal life on Sunday, March 19, 2017. She was born in Oconto, Wisconsin on June 25th to Herb and Ruby (Deimer) Telford. Pat attended Lincoln School and graduated from Oconto High School. Her vibrant personality and organizational skills enabled her to enjoy and lead many activities. Pat grew up in a family that valued education and hard work. She attended the University of Wisconsin-Stout and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Home Economics. She loved her years at Stout and spoke often about their excellent programs. Teaching became her passion and students excelled in her classrooms in Whitefish Bay, West Bend, Madison and Benton, Wisconsin. On August 4, 1951, Pat married the love of her life, Randall (Randy) Weege at the First Presbyterian Church in Oconto, where she was baptized and confirmed. She embraced Randy's career in Geology, always supporting his education and study. In tandem, they traveled to further his exploration and expertise, moving seven times in the first nine years of their married life. Hosting beautiful dinners for his department was her forte and lasting friendships were formed throughout their journey together. Pat's goals in life were to become a teacher, a wife and a mother. To that end, her dreams were realized. Together she and Randy raised three daughters, Cynthia, Kassie and Annie. She dedicated her time to family-special meals, holiday traditions, her daughters' activities and teaching them the important lessons of life. She was a Sunday School teacher for many years in Calumet, Michigan and Deerfield, Illinois. She loved her years on Calumet Avenue and cherished her sterling friends. She will be remembered for sharing her famous recipes and fashioning the first day of school dresses, saying sewing was her peaceful pastime. When her own children were independent, she shared her time and talents with the Deerfield Parks and Recreation programs and the Highland Park Nursery School, where she nurtured and encouraged many bright young children. Pat and Randy moved to Spread Eagle in 1986. Having lived in sunny California, the sand desert of New Mexico, and the snow covered Copper Country of Michigan, she felt she had truly found her home. She was a member of Pine Grove Country Club, where she enjoyed countless hours of golf and fun with dear friends. Pat's faith was her strength and she loved her church home, the First Presbyterian Church of Kingsford. Over the years, she devoted herself to Vacation Bible School and Bible Studies. In addition, she read with students in the Book Buddies program at North Elementary School. Pat's joy was complete when she was blessed with two grandsons, Andre Randall and Joel Paul Fugere. Sharing in the adventures of boys was a new delight, and she loved to relate stories of their antics. How they looked forward to their many extended visits with Nana and Papa, and the carving of lifetime memories. She created goodie bags to expand their beginning vocabularies and spent many hours on the floor racing Hot Wheel cars. Pat and Randy were married for over 62 years and together they made an amazing team. Their spunk, laughter and emphasis on being together as family will always be remembered. Pat lived a life filled with passion for her work, loyalty to her friends and immense love for her family. She is survived by her daughters, Cynthia Weege, Kassie (Paul) Fugere and Annie Weege; grandsons, Andre Randall and Joel Paul Fugere; two nieces, a nephew and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Colleen and her beloved husband Randy. A special thank you to the wonderful Iron Mountain and Spread Eagle friends who brought happiness to Pat during Randy's life and especially after his passing. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our dear Iron County family who shared countless laughs, smiles and sterling support. You epitomize love and knowing you is a gift. Don't ever question whether you are making a difference in this world. Visitation will be held at First Presbyterian Church from 1:00 - 3:00pm on Friday, March 24th. A celebration of Pat's life will follow at 3:00pm at the church. Rev. Michael March will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church Sunday School and Vacation Bible School programs.
