Patricia Jean Baravetto

Patricia Jean Baravetto, 88, of Kingsford, MI, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2023, at Marshfield Medical Center-Dickinson. She was born in Aurora, WI, on Oct. 17, 1934, daughter of the late August & Grace (Radcliffe) Van Pembrook. On Sept. 27, 1952, Pat married Roger Baravetto at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Aurora, WI. Pat was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother & great-grandmother (Granny Great). Patty Packer was a Green Bay Packers fanatic; she was known for wearing Packers clothing nearly everyday for several years and was able to attend Super Bowls in San Diego and New Orleans. Ever the center of her life well-lived, Pat thrived through Faith and Grace. She was an active member of St. Mary Queen of Peace Parish, attending daily Mass for as long as her body would allow. Pat will be remembered for her devotion to others and her gentle touch. She was a donor to St. Jude's for 50 years and sponsored children through the Catholic Outreach program. Patricia will be deeply missed by her husband of 70 years, Roger Baravetto; three children, Mark (Deb) Baravetto, Tina (Carl) Kassin, and Lisa (Mark) Blomquist; 11 grandchildren, Shawn (Rachel McBee) Baravetto, Brittany (Benett) Mack, Dylan Bailey (Chelsey LaTender), Chelsae Bailey, Michelle (Sam) Sharp, Joe Kassin, Russ (Joy) Kassin, Marcus Blomquist (Jeremias Rodriguez), Kyle (Meg) Blomquist, Jamie (Joe) Jahnke and Brody Blomquist; 18 great-grandchildren; a sister, Bonnie (Bill) Caviani; a brother-in-law, Hank VandeCastelle; and many other nieces, nephews, family and friends. In addition to her parents, Patricia is preceded in death by two siblings, Bill (Toni) VanPembrook and Janie VandeCasteele; and two brothers-in-law, Donald (Lola) Baravetto and James Baravetto. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Patricia’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association. Visitation will be at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home, 901 Carpenter Ave., Iron Mountain, from 9:00 am -10:30 am on Monday, January 23, 2023, with Fr. Michael Woempner officiating the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Queen of Peace. Burial will be in Homestead-Aurora Cemetery in the spring.
