Lucille M. Derouin

Lucille M. Derouin, 83, of East Kingsford, died Fri. Jan. 9, 2015 at ManorCare Health Services in Kingsford. She was born on July 26, 1931, the daughter of the late Orlando and Ihone (Luke) Bartoletti. Lucille graduated from Iron Mountain High School in 1949. She was a cook for Breitung Township Schools for many years. On April 9, 1949, She married W. Frank "Blackie" Derouin. He preceded her in death in 2012. Lucille enjoyed reading, watching TV, camping, going out to eat Friday nights and taking the traditional "Sunday Ride". She was an excellent cook and no one ever left her table hungry. Lucille loved all animals, especially her beloved cat, Miss Kitty. She is survived by four children Frank (Susie) Derouin of Kingsford, Beverly Derouin of Jacksonville, FL, Susan (Roger) Derouin of Norway, and Sherri (Mark) Black of Iron Mountain, six grandchildren Tammy (Randy) Jordan, Bruce (Kim Koski and son Cole) Wilcox, Zack Black, Melissa (Adam) Richael, Joshua (Jennifer) Derouin, and Mark Derouin, and ten great grandchildren Drew and Samantha Nowak, Raeanne, Noah, and Lily Wilcox, Thomas, Daniel, and Alaina Jordan, and Andrew, Taylor and Makayla Derouin, great-great grandchild, Macy Trulock; one brother Lewis (Marilyn) Bartoletti of East Wenatchee, WA, two sisters Marjorie Paruleski of Norway, and Beverly (Don) Doney of Green Bay, two step grandsons Brad Schmutzler and Kevin (Carissa) Schumutzler, nine step great grandchildren Jonathan, Katie, Logan, Caden, Maddie, and Lillie Schmutzler and Myka, Leah, and Zach Richael, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Lucille was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Robert Paruleski; a nephew, Fr. Robert Paruleski, Jr.; her step father, John Bartolameolli; many sisters and brothers-in-law including a special sister-in-law, Regina Anderson; and her beloved dog, Taffy. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 to 6:00pm at the Erickson-Rochon and Nash Funeral Home in Iron Mountain. A memorial service will follow at 6:00 pm at the funeral home. Candy Buchcuski will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Almost Home Animal Shelter.
