Inez Bugni

IRON MOUNTAIN - Inez C. Bugni, 94, of 800 East Grant St. Iron Mountain, passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2009 at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital. She was born December 15, 1914 in Iron Mountain, daughter of the late Frank and Maria (Filosofi) Rocconi. Inez married Peter Bugni on August 28, 1940 in Iron Mountain. He preceded her in death on August 4, 1999. Inez was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, the Business Professional Women's Club and the Daughters of Isabella for many years. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed sewing, arts & crafts, and spending time with family and friends. Inez was a inspiration to all that knew her, she carried on her Italian traditions with all of her family, instilling in all who knew and loved her those values that we will carry with us through out our lives. Anyone that enjoyed her hospitality was treated to her delicious italian dinners. She will be missed by all and will be in our hearts forever. She is survived by a son, Thomas (Mary K.) Bugni and a daughter, Mary Beth (Larry) Canavera, both of Kingsford; five grandchildren, Tina (Charles) Schultz of Merton, WI, Carrie Backlund of Iron Mountain, John Canavera of Kingsford, Tracy Bugni of San Francisco and Troy Bugni of Appleton; five great grandchildren, Nicholas and Emily Schultz, Benjamin Backlund, and Erinn and Logan Bugni; and several nieces and nephews. Inez was also preceded in death by four brothers, Angelo, Albert, Ludwig and Etolo Rocconi and two sisters, Helen Pucci and Esther Tomassucci. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 10:30am to 12:30pm at the Erickson-Rochon and Nash Funeral Home in Iron Mountain. Funeral services will follow at 1:00pm at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Msgr. James Kaczmarek will offer the Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be in Cemetery Park. Pallbearers will be Troy Bugni, John Canavera, Chuck Schultz, John Pucci, Paul Pucci and Brad Tomassucci. Condolences to the family of Inez C.
