Harold F. Brown

Harold Francis Brown, a devoted father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose love, strength, and kindness touched the lives of so many. Harold passed away peacefully at his home on June 30, 2026, surrounded by the love and memories of his family. He was born on February 16, 1960 and spent the last six years of his life in Iron Mountain, Michigan, where he built lasting friendships and created cherished memories with those he loved. Before his retirement, Harold worked as a semi-truck driver supporting the U.S. military. He took great pride in his career and in the important role he played serving those who serve our country. Family was the center of Harold's life. He was a loving father to Cassandra Willis, Harold Brown Jr., Patrick McNesse, and Jamie Shelton. His greatest joy came from spending time with his grandchildren, Marcus Shelton, Kameron Shelton, Lauren Shelton, Lexi Shelton, and Lucy Shelton. They brought immeasurable happiness to his life, and he treasured every moment they shared together. Harold is also survived by his beloved siblings, Dennis Brown, Calvin Brown, Robert Brown, and Debbie Coakay, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory. In retirement, Harold enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. He found peace in the outdoors, especially while fishing, and nothing brought him more happiness than spending time with his grandchildren. He will be remembered for his caring heart, quiet strength, unwavering devotion to his family, and the love he freely shared with everyone around him. Harold's family finds comfort in knowing that he is now at peace and in the loving presence of the Lord. Although our hearts are filled with sorrow, we are grateful for the time we were blessed to have with him. His legacy of love, compassion, and dedication to family will continue to live on through those who knew and loved him. A celebration of Harold's life will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Family Baptist Church, 1001 S. Hemlock Street, Iron Mountain, MI 49801. Family and friends are warmly invited to attend as we celebrate his life, share memories, and honor the remarkable man he was. Snacks and refreshments will be provided following the service. "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." — 2 Timothy 4:7 Though Harold may no longer walk beside us, his love will remain in our hearts forever. We take comfort in God's promise that, through faith, we will one day be reunited. "Well done, good and faithful servant." — Matthew 25:23 Harold will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and never forgotten.
