Frances Aderman

Frances Louise Aderman was born on December 8, 1928 in Bagley, MI, the daughter of Frank and Louise (Wagner) Adams. She was baptized at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Daggett, Michigan. She was welcomed into heaven by her Savior Jesus on October 23, 2017 at the age of 88. Fran graduated from Stephenson High School. She married Edwin Aderman on May 15, 1948. They had five children. Fran dedicated her working career to nursing. She graduated from Northern Michigan University’s practical nursing school in 1961. She worked at Dickinson County Hospital as an obstetrics nurse and, until retirement, for Dr. Paul Trump as his office nurse. In retirement she returned to DCH as a nurse in the emergency department. Fran’s children remember her as a loving mother who encouraged them to follow their dreams. Most of all, through her words and actions she instilled in them a love for Jesus. Fran’s gratitude for God’s grace in Jesus expressed itself through her membership at Mount Olive Evangelical Lutheran Church in Iron Mountain. She and her husband joined there in 1951. She served as Mount Olive’s organist for four decades. She actively participated in the women’s groups, Bible studies, Sunday school, and other ministries. Fran enjoyed golfing with her husband and friends. She also loved bowling; for decades she competed in singles and couples leagues. She relished gardening, knitting, and sewing. Fran is mourned by three sons: James (Sharon), David (Janet), and Kent (Brenda) Aderman, Leslie (Carmen) Frank. She leaves behind ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She is further survived by her dear sister, Elfreda “Fritzie” Adams. She was preceded in death by her husband; daughters, Laura Small and Tamara Aderman; nephew, Kerry Frank; brothers, Robert, John, Alvin, David and Leroy Adams; sister Herta Frank. Visitation will be Saturday, October 28, 2017 from 10:00am-12:00 noon at Mount Olive Evangelical Lutheran Church in Iron Mountain. A service of Christian celebration will follow at the Church at 12:00 noon. Rev. Stephen Lehmann will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Mount Olive Ev. Lutheran Church are appreciated.
