Duane Rochon Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Duane Rochon KINGSFORD - Duane J. Rochon, 60, of 750 Boyle Drive, Kingsford, died Tuesday, March 23, 2004, at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital. He was born on Jan. 5, 1944, in Escanaba, the son of Shirley (Balthazore) Rochon and the late Henry Rochon. He served in the U.S. Army. Duane married Judith Granlund on May 23, 1964, in Waukegan, Ill. They moved to this area in 1971 and have resided here since that time. Duane worked at Grede Foundry for 25 years. He enjoyed camping, fishing, golfing, carpentry, and going on long rides with his family. Duane is survived by his wife, Judy; his mother, Shirley Rochon of Pinecrest Medical Center; two sisters, Sharon (David) Conrad of Pittsbourough, Ind. and Rhonda Rochon (fiance, Dan Holmberg) of Iron Mountain, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Rochon; and a brother, Keith Rochon. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral home of Iron Mountain. Funeral services will be on Friday at 11 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Church. Fr. Joseph Gouin will offer the Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be in Cemetery Park.
