Beverly Pilot

Beverly Pilot, 82, of Iron Mountain, MI went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 24, 2016 at Maryhill Manor in Niagara, WI. She was born March 11, 1934 in Iron Mountain, daughter of the late Phillip Sr. and Esther (Johnson) Koller. Bev was a lifelong resident of Iron Mountain and graduated from Iron Mountain High School in 1952. She married Edward Pilot on June 20, 1953 at the First Lutheran Church where she was a longtime member. Ed preceded her in death on January 1, 2015. Together they raised three children and enjoyed 62 years of marriage together. Bev was a very loving and caring person. She was a devoted caregiver to many of her family members and she always put others first. God and family were always number one with Bev. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, and loved spending time with all the children. Bev was a great cook and baker, and made the best pasties. Her favorite time of the year was Christmas and it was most appropriate that she went home to be with the Lord on Christmas Eve. She was preceded in death by her twin brother, Phillip Koller, Jr. She is survived by three children, Debbie (Mike) Oberdorfer of Kingsford, Jeff Pilot of Iron Mountain and Brian (Carol) Pilot of Iron Mountain; six grandchildren, Jennifer (Matt) Meekhof, Justin (Natalie) Oberdorfer, Alyssa Pilot (fiancé Patrick Digneit), Josh Pilot, Paul (Ali) Wedin and Nicholas Pilot; four great grandchildren, Mike and Brooke Meekhof and Anna and Claire Oberdorfer; brothers in law and sisters in laws, Rudy (Claire) Pilot and Jim (Marilyn) Pilot; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Thursday from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm at the Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church. Memorial services will be held at 6:00 pm at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church. Rev. Stephen Cowen will officiate. Burial will be in Iron Mountain Cemetery Park.
