Barbara J. Carollo

Barbara J. Carollo, 85, of Iron Mountain died May 5, 2017 at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital in Iron Mountain. Barbara was born October 8, 1931, daughter of the late Edward and Susan (Quick) Hart. She married Ernest Carollo on January 31, 1953 in Iron Mountain. Ernest and Barbara had seven children together and Barbara stayed home to care for them. Barbara was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Iron Mountain. In her spare time she enjoyed playing cards and Bingo. Having many many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Barbara spent 20 years being an amazing babysitter. She had a deep love for her family whom she enjoyed spending her time with. Barbara is survived by her seven children, Holly (Marvin) Hansen of Kingsford, Judy (Richard) Larson of Iron Mountain, Lynn (Jim) LePage of Kingsford, Stephen (Lori) Carollo of Kingsford, Joyce (Charles) Williams of Sagola, Beth (Nathan) Enneper of Sobieski, WI, and Christine Wallenkamp of Kingsford; one sister, Joyce DuCharme of Aurora; two brothers, David Hart of Bark River and Jim (Gail) Hart of Bark River; one brother-in-law, Doug Carlson of Kingsford; two sisters-in-law, Eleanor Larson of Iron Mountain and Beth Hart of Arizona; 23 grandchildren Adam (Cindy) Hansen, Travis Hansen, Jeremy (Jackie) Larson, Jaime (Nick) Beaster, Derrick (Lisa) Larson, Andrea (Stephen) Herbst, Joshua (Maria) Cory, Loni (Todd) Rochon, Dana (Bill Voss) LePage, Rhonda (Keith) Cross, James (Melissa) LePage, Matthew Carollo, Brittany Carollo, Chelsea (Mathew Skogman) Williams, Max Williams, Kory Williams, Marcus (Kate Boerst) Watts, Paige (Jake) Hoffmann, Dominick Enneper, Michaela Enneper, Alyssa (Jake) Reimer, Landon Wallenkamp, and Cassidy Wallenkamp, 22 great grandchildren and one due in September, one great-great grandchild, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Ernest in 1991, two grandchildren, Amanda and Heidi Hansen; one sister Betty Carlson, one brother Michael Hart, sisters-in-law, Delores (Richard) Nocerini, Betty (Sam) Welcher; and brothers-in-law Roger DuCharme and Paul Larson. Visitation will be held Thursday, May 11, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. at Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home in Iron Mountain. Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Monsignor James Kaczmarek will officiate. Burial will follow at Dickinson County Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
