Angela Zanoni

QUINNESEC - Angela Mae "Angie" Zanoni, 77, of Quinnesec, went to meet her Lord on Friday, July 6, 2007, surrounded by her loving family and the caring people at Maryhill Manor in Niagara. Angie was born May 5, 1930, in Kingsford, daughter of the late Joseph and Ida (Kure) Rozich. She graduated from Kingsford High School in 1948 and was a lifelong resident of the area. Angie married Victor P. Zanoni on Oct. 5, 1957, at American Martyrs Church in Kingsford, where she grew up. She was employed at Michigan Bell Phone Co. and also worked for Dr. Richard Cecconi Sr. and Dr. Donald Heilala as a medical receptionist. Angie was an active member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Quinnesec and Norway where she taught catechism and sang in the choir. She was a volunteer for the Maranatha Messengers and a member of the Breitung Township PTO scholarship committee. Angie enjoyed reading, walking, cooking, baking and taking care of others, especially her family. She was a full-time caregiver for her husband and many friends and neighbors. Angie was also a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend to many. She always put others first, was there for anyone in need and gave a warm smile to everyone she met. She loved to share stories and laugh. Angie was dearly loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Victor; son, Dan Zanoni of Norway; daughter, Vicki (Mark) Dulski of Silver Spring, Md.; a sister, Marge (Donald) Hamari of Kingsford; special nieces, Patti (Terry) Lidbeck, Diane (Paul) Donaldson, and JoAnn (Rich) Donaldson; special great nieces and nephews, Melissa and Kevin Lidbeck and Stephen, David, Lauren and Erika Donaldson; special great-great nephew, Christopher; brothers-in-law, Herman (Christine) Zanoni and Robert (Sally) Zanoni; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, special friends and neighbors. Angie was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Zanoni. Visitation will be held on Monday from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at American Martyrs Catholic Church in Kingsford. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at the church. Fr. Joseph Gouin will offer the Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be in the Norway Township Cemetery.
