Roger Gail Lindholm

August 28, 1941 - April 27, 2022

Roger G. Lindholm, 80, of Kingsford, passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2022, at the Marshfield Medical Center Dickinson in Iron Mountain. Roger was born in Niagara, WI on Aug. 28, 1941, to the late Leonard and Ellen Lindholm. Roger attended Iron Mountain High School. On Dec. 12, 1959, Roger married Kathleen McMahon in Quinnesec. In 1960, he started a 44-year career with Grede Foundry, retiring in 2004. In his younger years Roger enjoyed ski jumping and attending stock car races. He also liked spending time at his camp in Sagola, deer hunting, and attending collector car shows. Roger cherished time spent with family and will be lovingly remembered as a man of few words and a large heart. Roger is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Kathy; daughters, Kim Mortl & Suellen Lindholm both of Kingsford; 3 grandchildren, Jeremy (Nicole) Mortl, Casey (Kevin) Geiger and Cody (Jordan) Mortl. He is further survived by his 7 great grandchildren, Aubrey & Camden Mortl, Brody, Bentley & Brynley Geiger and Chloe & Carlye Mortl. Roger is also survived by his brothers, Leonard and Neil (Terry) Lindholm and brother and sister in laws, Pat Lindholm, Dave (Mary) McMahon, Dan (Ann) McMahon, Judy Wales, and John Givogre along with many nieces and nephews. Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Ellen Lindholm; sister, Joan Snowdon; brother, Robert Lindholm; sisters-in-law, Marilyn (Jim) Moreau, Doreen Givogre and Robin Lindholm and brother-in-law, Tracy Wales. Friends may join Roger’s family for the graveside service at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 3, 2022, in Iron Mountain Cemetery Park with Pastor Matt Reusch officiating.
