Gail C. Schultz

February 23, 1937 - May 5, 2022

Gail C. Schultz, 85, lifelong resident of Kingsford, passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2022, at Freeman Nursing and Rehab. She was born in Iron Mountain on Feb. 23, 1937, to the late George and Augusta (Dennis) Phillips. Gail was a graduate of Iron Mountain High School. On Dec. 14, 1957, she was married to Lyle Reiten. He preceded Gail in death in Oct. of 1968. On July 28, 1978, she married Floyd Schultz. He preceded Gail in death on March 9, 2015. Gail was employed for several years with the Dickinson Iron County Intermediate Headstart Program. In her younger years, Gail enjoyed bowling and ice skating. She also loved time with Floyd and family at the cottage, traveling, and spending as much time as she could with her grandchildren. Gail will be deeply missed by 4 children, Julie (Dan) Chartier, Art (Lynn) Reiten, Terri Ohlsen and Linda Pera; 9 grandchildren, Dana (Rodrigo) Orozco, Justin Chartier, Pierce Reiten, Jordan (Stefanie) Pugh, Landon Pugh, Lydia Ohlsen (Brandon Jump), Abbey Ohlsen (Bradey Jump), Paige (Alex) Bauman, and Alex Pera; great-grandchildren, Gabriela and Natalia Orozco, Aletta Jump, and one more due in October; her brother, George Phillips Jr.; and many other family and friends. In addition to her husbands and parents, Gail is preceded in death by a sister, Alyce Pringle. Visitation will be at the Kingsford Funeral Home, 1000 S. Carpenter Ave., from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 14, 2022, with Rev. Irene White officiating the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Niagara Cemetery.
