Francis James Zanardi

Francis James Zanardi, 89, of Iron Mountain, passed away on Friday, May 27, 2022, in Platteville, WI. He was born in Iron Mountain on Feb. 24, 1933, son of the late John and Frances (Vitton) Zanardi. Francis graduated from Iron Mountain High School, Class of ’51. In 1957, Francis graduated from Notre Dame Law School. He moved back to Iron Mountain and joined his father’s law firm. Prior to his retirement, Francis worked as a lawyer for the Federal Government providing legal aid, covering several counties in the Upper Peninsula. He was a member of St. Mary & St. Joseph Catholic Church. Francis is survived by his sister, Marilyn (Fredric) Tufte of Platteville, WI. He is also survived by several cousins and relatives. In addition to his parents, Francis is preceded in death by a brother, John “Jack” Zanardi. Private graveside services will be held at the Lakeview Cemetery in Calumet, MI.
