William "Bill" Buchcuski

William “Bill” Buchcuski, 66, of Florence, passed away on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at Dickinson County Healthcare System in Iron Mountain with his family by his side, following a courageous 16 month battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born October 30, 1955 in Escanaba, MI, son of the late Leo and Irma (Bradway) Buchcuski. Bill graduated from North Central High School in 1974 and went to work at Grede Foundry in Kingsford where he was employed as a maintenance and engineering manager for 44 years, retiring in 2019. He was a member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church. Bill married Candice “Candy” (Stuart) on July 27, 2013. He enjoyed sports, played men’s league basketball for many years and was a Detroit Lions Fan. Most of all he enjoyed following his children's and grandchildren's sporting events over the years. Bill was an avid outdoorsman and especially enjoyed hunting and spending time at the family hunting camp, Cedar Knoll Lodge. He also loved spending time on the lake and being the pontoon captain on family boat rides. He is survived by his wife, Candy; three children, Adam (Sarah) Buchcuski and Brent (Krista) Buchcuski, both of Iron Mountain, and Carlye Buchcuski (Erin Rutkowsky) of East Troy; three step-children, Scott (Anemone) Beaulier, Stacey (Doug) Langtagne, and Dustin (Summer) Beaulier; two brothers, Lenny Buczkowski and Tom Buczkowski (Anna); a brother-in-law, Jeff Land; 11 grandchildren, Hayley, Kolten, Jake, and Baya Buchcuski, Kelsey (Sky) Newman, Kallie (Jon Rhoades) Weecks, Dylan (Taylor) Langtagne, Lilla, Roma, Maddux and Thaddeus Beaulier; one great grandson, Ezra Newman; and several nieces and nephews. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Cathy Land and Diane Perkins and a brother, John Buczkowski. Visitation will be held from 2:00 - 5:30 pm on Wednesday, December 22 at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 6:00 pm at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Iron Mountain. Rev. David Johnson will officiate.
