Warner Yaggie

KINGSFORD - Warner R. Yaggie, 86, of 1820 Mary's Way, Kingsford, formerly of 802 E. Smith St., Iron Mountain, died Thursday, June 12, 2008, at ManorCare Health Care Services in Kingsford. He was born July 5, 1921, in Butler, Wis., son of the late Edward and Mabel (Berry) Yaggie. Warner was a longtime resident of Iron Mountain. He married Eva Constantini on Oct. 10, 1940, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. She preceded him in death on Oct. 17, 1992. Warner had worked for the Iron Mountain Fire Department, Les Johnson Cabinet Shop, and more than 20 years for the Iron Mountain Postal Service, retiring in 1986. He loved to hunt, fish, and spend time at his camp in Channing. He especially enjoyed hunting with his grandson, Joel. Warner was a devout member of Immaculate Conception Church and strong supporter of the catholic school. He belonged to the Holy Name Society and the United Commercial Travelers (UCT) for 40 years. He was also a member of the Iron Mountain Elks Lodge for thirty years. Warner is survived by his sons, Warner (Linda) Yaggie Jr. of Mooresville, N. C. and Anthony (Kathy) Yaggie of Manitowoc, Wis.; five grandchildren, Chris (Lora) Yaggie of Oshkosh, Wis., Brad (Tracy) Yaggie of Two Rivers, Wis., Nick Yaggie (Lori Langnese) of Manitowoc, Joel (Tammy) Yaggie of Linden, Mich. and Kristen (Paul) Masselink of Norway; eight great- grandchildren; four brothers and two sisters, Irving (Sandi) Yaggie of Iron Mountain, Norman (Mary Jo) Yaggie of Chula Vista, Calif., Joyce (Will) Riel of Waupun, Wis., Lloyd (Lana) Yaggie of Crestwood, Ky., Jeanne (Carl) Lange of Gleason, Wis., and Robert (Ann) Yaggie of Green Cove Springs, Fla. He was preceded in death by one sister and four brothers, Laverne Ellis, Raymond, Harold, Donald, and Leonard Yaggie. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the Erickson-Rochon and Nash Funeral Home of Iron Mountain Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Church. Monsignor James Kaczmarek will offer the Mass of the Christian Burial. Burial will be in Cemetery Park.
