Trent L. Byerley

Trent Lee Byerley, 41, of Iron Mountain passed away on Saturday, Oct. 29, 2022, at his home after suffering from PTSD. Trent was born on April 16, 1981, in Beloit, WI, the son of Randy Byerley and Susan K. Woodard-Brown. After high school, he enlisted with the U.S. Army, serving from Oct. of 2000 - April 2011 as a member of Infantry 11B, Blue Spaders and Ramrods units. During his service he earned the Army Good Conduct Medal (3rd award), National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expenditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Kosovo Campaign Medal, Iraq Campign Medal with Campaign Star, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, NATO Medal, Infantryman Badge/driver and Mechanic Badge.He married Rachael Ann Byerley on Oct. 6th, 2020. Trent will be deeply missed by his wife, Rachael Ann of Iron Mountain; 2 daughters, Alicia Ivonne Byerley of Germany and Rosalie Byerley of Georgia; his stepson, Kohnor Richard Collins of Iron Mountain; his parents, Randy (Shari) Byerley of Rockford, IL, and Susan (Kevin) Woodard-Brown of Beloit, WI; his in laws, Shawn (Laura) Collins of Iron Mountain; a sister, Tarrah (Todd) Schott of Orfordville, WI; Brothers-in law, Kaleb Collins and Seth Collins, both of Iron Mountain; sisters-in-law, Megan (Rick Mosher) Collins of Kingsford and Kalina Nichols of Iron Mountain; a grandmother-in-law, Barb Collins; nieces and nephews, Juliana Fahad of Kingsford, Myles Seibold and Finnley Collins, both of Iron Mountain, and one niece or nephew on the way; special friends, James Marchlewicz, Tyler Cotton, and Mallory Mitchell, along with all of his BIG RED ONE Brothers: Blue Spaders and Ramrods Brothers; and pets, Lilly and Badger. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Grandpa and Grandma Byerley, Grandpa Richard Collins, and Grandpa and Grandma Woodard. Trent and Rachael's Military Family has set up a Go Fund Me on Facebook to assist the family. Rachael would like to thank the VA staff, especially Dr. Remington, Dr. Vanholla, and all those who worked with Trent, and the Iron Mountain Police Officer Ben Hellman, Aaron Benjamin, and the Iron Mountain Fire and Rescue. Trent lived his life by Honor, Loyalty, and Respect. Until Valhalla Babe!
