Sandra L. Hosking

Sandra L. Hosking, 80, of Kingsford peacefully passed away Monday, February 7, 2022, at the UP Health System in Marquette, MI, with her family at her side. Sandra was born July 8, 1941, in Breitung Township and graduated from Kingsford High School, Class of 1960. On December 16, 1961, she married Ronald Hosking in Norway, MI, and they remained lifelong residents of the area. Sandra owned Hosking’s Hairlines for 25 years, retiring in June of 2021, and she was a sales representative for Avon for 50 years. She also enjoyed cooking, gardening and knitting, and most of all, spending time with friends and family. Sandra is survived by her husband of 60 years, Ronald; her children, Ronald (Susan) Hosking of Weatherby Lake, MO, and Lisa Hosking of Iron Mountain, MI; her siblings, Robert (Kathy) Trulock, Cindy (Tom) Oien, John (Robin) Trulock, Julie Trulock (Jack Gustin), William Trulock, and Terry Trulock; her grandchildren, Casandra (Josh) Patnode, Margaret Hosking, Nathan (Samantha) Graham and Rebecca Graham; great-grandchildren, Brixon Patnode, Aubrey Anderson, Harlow Patnode and Mya Patnode; a sister-in-law, JoAnne Helgren; friends of 55 years, Ruth and Mike Adams; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other special friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Delores Wood; a brother, Donald Trulock; and her grandparents, Lottie and Leonard Wood. Sandra’s fierce and resilient memory will be carried on by her beloved husband and family members who stood faithfully and unwavering by her side each day of her transition. Visitation will be 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Friday, February 11th, at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Iron Mountain. Funeral services will follow at noon at the church. Rev. Steve Cowen will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Agape Fund at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, a fund that provides financial help in times of critical need.
