Ronald M. Lindlbauer

Ronald M. Lindlbauer, 82, of Iron Mountain, passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2020 at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay, WI. Ron was born on September 6, 1937, in Detroit, MI, son of the late John and Dorothy (Gillespie) Lindlbauer. He has been a resident of this area for the past forty years and worked for Grede Foundry for over thirty years. He married Sherry Hannula on December 5, 1986 in Tyler, Texas. Ron was a great storyteller and loved to recount his past adventures to family and friends. He enjoyed retelling the story of how in 1937, he stopped the Labor Day parade on Woodward Avenue in Detroit so his mother could make it to the hospital to deliver him. Ron loved animals and had a special gift for communicating with all animals. He was loved by his grandchildren and each of them shared a special bond with him. Ron was an amateur bodybuilder, loved to play the three and four number lottery each week and made keepsake rings out of stainless steel nuts. Ron was preceded in death by an infant son, Duane; an infant grandson, Erich and his brothers, John and Barney Lindlbauer. He is survived by his wife, Sherry; children, Erich Lindlbauer of Iron Mountain, Ronald “Tinky” (Sherri) Lindlbauer of Niagara, Danny (JoElla) Lindlbauer of Kingsford, Larry (Danielle) Lindlbauer of Hancock, MI., Henry (Sheri) Mann of Iron Mountain, Laura (Mark) Mortl of Iron Mountain and Jeanine (Pastor Kenneth) Corbin of Paducah, KY; sisters, Barbara Marshall of Alabama, Mary Ann (Joseph) Wolak of Pinkney, MI., Joanne (Frank) LoPicalo of Detroit and Pat Lindlbauer of Stockbridge, MI.; grandchildren, Abby and Derich Lindlbauer, Paige, Bridgette and Lauren Lindlbauer, David (Beth) Lindlbauer and Jesse Lindlbauer, Lara (Jesse) Norman, Tyler LaDuron, Alexis, Andrew, Brooklyn and Madison Mann, Emily Mortl, Josh (Candice) Mortl and Joseph Mortl, Joshua (Kay) Corbin and Megan Corbin; seven great-grandchildren and one on the way. Visitation will be on Friday, July 24th from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home of Iron Mountain. Private funeral services will be held. Rev. Matthew Reusch will officiate. Burial will be in the Quinnesec Cemetery.
