Rick Klingelhutz

Rick Thomas Klingelhutz, 52, of 833 Hamilton Ave. Kingsford, passed away on Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at Marquette General Hospital in Marquette, MI. He was born October 15, 1957 in Shakopee, MN, the son of Thomas and Catherine “Kay” (Bruers) Klingelhutz. Rick married Sally Edens on December 29, 1979 in Chanhassen, MN. He grew up in Chanhassen and moved with his family to Annandale, MN in 1989. Rick graduated from Chaska High School in 1976 and started his career as a carpenter. He worked with his father in the family business, TomKay Builders, building and remodeling homes for over 25 years in the Chanhassen and Annandale area. He held a position with Lampi Auctioneers for a few years prior to moving to Kingsford in 2002. For the past seven years Rick has been employed at the Dickinson-Iron Intermediate School District as a Para-Pro in the Building Trades Program. He was a member of American Martyrs Catholic Church in Kingsford. Rick enjoyed going to camp, hunting, fishing, and working in his shop. He is survived by his wife, Sally; two sons, Joseph Klingelhutz of Minneapolis and Jacob Klingelhutz of Houghton; a daughter, Jeana Klingelhutz of Kingsford; his mother and father, Kay and Thomas Klingelhutz of Annandale; maternal grandmother, Bertha Bruers of Chaska, MN; two sisters, Vicky (Dale) Hoeft of Watertown, MN and Maria (Steve) Sanocki of Hudson, WI; his mother and father-in-law, Dorothy and Don Edens of Kingsford; three brothers-in-law, Don (Pam) Edens, Mark (Val) Edens, and Bill (LuAnn) Edens; a sister-in-law, Mary (Don) Lee; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 4:00 to 7:00pm at the Erickson-Rochon and Nash Funeral Home in Iron Mountain. The funeral mass will be on Monday at 11:00am at American Martyrs Catholic Church in Kingsford. Fr. Joseph Gouin will offer the Mass of Christian Burial. Pallbearers will be his nephews, Steve and Mark Edens, Don Lee Jr., Mike Lee, Paul, Neil & Carl Edens, Tony, Jeff, Tommy & Josh Hoeft, and Mark Sanocki.
