Patricia A. Grahn

Patricia A. Grahn, 79, of Fence, WI, passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully, at her home early Saturday morning, November 13, 2021. Patricia was born April 19, 1942, daughter of the late Gordon and Margaret (Polus) Dorsch. She graduated from Ripon High School in 1960. On September 30, 1961 Patricia married Gary Grahn. Patricia worked as a nurse's aide for many years at the Ripon Memorial Hospital as well as working on the farm with her husband Gary. In 1978 they relocated their family to Northern Wisconsin. Patricia worked in the bindery department at American Graphics. She then earned her CDL license and went on the road with her husband Gary driving an 18 wheeler. They traveled the United States together for many years. After retiring from the trucking life she earned her CNA certificate from Rhinelander Technical College and then worked for many years with Marquette Home Health Care. She was also a partner with Gary in their business, GP Basketworks, weaving and selling baskets made of maple veneer. Patricia was a member of Fence Bible Church. She was actively involved, serving as President of the Ladies Aid committee for a period of time. She also graciously hosted bible studies in her home. Her relationship with the Lord was her first and foremost priority. She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and watching the birds at the feeders in her yard. Patricia and Gary were blessed with 60 years of marriage, three sons, and their families. Left to cherish her memory are her devoted husband, Gary Grahn; sons, Robert (Jayne) Grahn of Cambria WI, Michael (Lois)Grahn of Goodman WI, Brian (Sandra) Grahn of Goodman WI; grandchildren, Evan Grahn, Lauren (Jon) Wendel, Emma (Michael Teunas) Grahn, Heather Grahn, Brett Grahn (Michelle Mielke), Victoria (Adam) Weinfurter, Mitchel (Melissa) Grahn; great-grandchildren, Jaxon Grahn, Jacob Weinfurter, baby (Weinfurter) due December 2021, baby (Grahn) due April 2022; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention all by name. In addition to both parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her brother Richard Dorsch. Patricia’s service will be held at the Fence Bible Church, 583 Memory Lane, Fence, WI on December 4, 2021. The visitation will be held from 10 am until the time of the memorial service at Noon. A graveside service and luncheon will follow. Condolences may be expressed to the family of Patricia A.
