IRON MOUNTAIN - Patricia "Patti" (Baxter) Antonini, 57, of Iron Mountain, died unexpectedly on Sunday, June 1, 2008, at her home. She was born April 12, 1951, in Milwaukee, daughter of the late Ed and Jeanne (Thomas) Baxter. Patti was a lifelong resident of Iron Mountain and graduated from Kingsford High School in 1969. She worked at the Light House in Iron Mountain for 25 years. Patti was like a mother to all her family and was the greatest Auntie. She loved spending time with her many nieces and nephews, and enjoyed many of their sporting events. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She is survived by her stepmother, Darlene Baxter of Iron Mountain; eight sisters and one brother, Kathe (Snuffy) Oliva of Iron Mountain, Joanie Schinderle (Brian) Lehto of Iron Mountain, Mary (Harry) Rahoi of Iron Mountain, Pete Baxter of Iron Mountain, Cynthia Baxter of Madison, Wis., Sandy (Dan) Oberthaler of Kingsford, Linda (Dana) Peterson of Iron Mountain, Laura (Bucky Huotari) Champagne of Iron Mountain, and Ellen (Todd) Tehako of L'Anse; a stepbrother, Ken (Pam) Parent of Iron Mountain; a stepsister, Shirley (Wally) Haupt of Pembine, Wis.; special family friend, Denise Haupt; best friends, Linda Sternhagen, Pamela (Rhodes) Vross, and Judy Erickson; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by a brother in-law, Marty Schinderle and a nephew, Chris Rahoi. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home in Iron Mountain. The funeral Mass will be held on Friday at 9:30 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Msgr. James Kaczmarek will offer the Mass of Christian Burial. Pallbearers will be Pete Baxter, Harry Rahoi, Butch Schinderle, Scott Schinderle, Dillon Peterson, and Franklin Tehako In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in her memory.
