Patricia Fox SPREAD EAGLE, Wis. - Patricia A. "Teter" Fox, 74, of Spread Eagle, died Monday, Jan. 10, 2005, at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital in Iron Mountain. She was born July 12, 1930, in Iron Mountain, daughter of the late Abbott and Dorothy (Brown) Fox. She was a 1948 graduate of Iron Mountain High School, received her bachelor's degree from the University of Colorado and master's degree from the University of Michigan. Following her college graduation, Teter taught school in California and worked as a social worker for the Iron Mountain School System. She worked many years as a social worker for the Milwaukee Public Schools and following her retirement, returned to Spread Eagle. Teter was co-owner and very involved in the management of the Dorothy Fox Forest in Spread Eagle. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. She served as a deacon of the church and was active in Bible study. Teter loved animals and was very fond of dogs. She was a big supporter of the local humane societies. She was an avid gardener and loved spending time with her family. Teter is survived by her sister, Susan (Bud) Neitzel of Spread Eagle; a nephew and three nieces, Wade (Karen Carney) Neitzel of Madison, Wis., Dorothy (Jason) Snebold of Onalaska, Wis., Amy (Jeff) Klemp of Franklin, Wis. and Janis (Mike) Parkinson of Verona, Wis.; seven great-nieces and great-nephews, Shanna, Abby, Matt, Sarah, Anthony, Corey and Nicole; and many cousins and friends. Visitation will be Friday, Jan. 21, 2005, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Kingsford. Memorial services will follow at 11 a.m. at the church. Rev. Michael March will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in her memory to the First Presbyterian Church Scholarship Fund or the SpringLake Humane Society.
