Mark W. Rollenhagen

Mark William Rollenhagen, of Florence, Wisconsin, passed away on December 26, at the age of 70. Born on July 19, 1955, in Fremont, Michigan, Mark lived a life marked by service, dedication to family, and a deep appreciation for the outdoors. Mark graduated from Fruitport High School in 1973, and soon after, answered the call to serve his country. From 1973 to 1977, he served as an Army specialist in west Germany. His time in the military was a formative chapter in his life, instilling values of discipline and resilience that he carried with him throughout the years. Following his military service, Mark pursued higher education at Michigan Technological University, where he earned his Electrical Engineering degree in 1982. His academic achievements reflected his determination and commitment to building a meaningful future. Mark shared his life with his beloved wife, Carrie (Hill). Together they raised two children: daughter Emily (Billy) Tomaselli of Rockford, Michigan, and son Brian Rollenhagen of Traverse City, Michigan. He was a proud grandfather to Eden, Luca and Quinn Tomaselli – roles that brought him great joy and fulfillment. A true outdoorsman at heart, Mark found peace and purpose in nature. He was an avid hunter and skilled marksman. Whether riding his dirt bike through the trails of Michigan and Wisconsin, or simply enjoying the quiet beauty of the woods, these moments were among his most treasured. Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Delores Rollenhagen. Their memory remained closed to him throughout his life. His legacy lives on through those who knew and loved him, his family, friends and all who shared in his journey. May his memory bring comfort and strength to those he leaves behind. A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 29, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at First Lutheran Church, 1210 S Stephenson Ave, Iron Mountain, MI.
