Lorraine Reddinger

Lorraine Reddinger, 91, of Kingsford passed away on Friday, March 6, 2019, at Dickinson County Healthcare System in Iron Mountain. Lorraine was born April 28, 1928, daughter of the late Fred and Sophie (Knudsen) Struebing. She was raised from a young age by her mother and step-father, Gust Maedke. A lifelong resident of the area, she graduated from Kingsford High School in 1946. Lorraine married Joseph Reddinger on November 19, 1949 at Mount Olive Lutheran Church in Iron Mountain. He preceded her in death in 2012. Lorraine was employed as a clerk and bookkeeper at SS Kresge for 42 years, retiring in 1990. She was a member of Mount Olive Lutheran Church in Iron Mountain and Oak Crest Golf Course in Norway. Lorraine loved following her children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events and was an avid Flivvers, Nordics, Packers, Tigers and Spartans fan. She enjoyed bowling, trips to the casino and traveling, especially the many winters spent with her husband in Florida at the Campers Holiday. Lorraine is survived by her three sons, Joseph Jr. (Lynn) Reddinger of Kingsford, John Reddinger (Coleen Flory) of Clarkston, MI and Beaver (Heidi) Reddinger of Iron Mountain; eight grandchildren, Tara (Chris) Hartman, Scott Reddinger (fiance, Patti), Amy Reddinger, Brian Reddinger, Lisa (Rob) Hess, Brad (Melissa) Reddinger, Todd (Brenda) Reddinger and Andy (Julie) Reddinger; seven great-grandchildren, Katie Hartman, Zoe, Alaina & Lucas Reddinger, Micah & Aidan Reddinger and Noah Reddinger; a step-sister, Marilyn Seibert; and several nieces and nephews. Along with her mother, father, step-father & husband, Joe, Lorraine was preceded in death by an infant brother; sisters, Marian Hupp, Evelyn Conard, Lois Maedke and Carol Patient; brothers, Norman Struebing and Norbert Maedke; and a great-grandson, Drew Hartman. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 am on Tuesday, March 10, at Mount Olive Lutheran Church in Iron Mountain. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 am at the church. Pastor Stephen Lehmann will officiate. Burial will be in Iron Mountain Cemetery Park.
