Linda M. Fraker

Linda M. (Johnson) Fraker, 70, of Aurora, WI passed away peacefully at Maryhill Manor in Niagara, WI on Sunday, April 28, 2019. Linda grew up in Aurora, WI, the daughter of Clifford and Charlotte Church. She graduated from Florence High School in 1966 and attended 2 years of college at UW Superior. She met her soulmate Robert Fraker while he was in the Navy and later married on Oct. 24, 1970. They spent the last 48 years together raising their kids and grandchildren. Linda worked as a payroll clerk for Grede Foundries until her retirement in April of 2011. Even after retirement she continued to fill in from time to time. Linda’s coworkers at Grede were her second family. She enjoyed baking birthday cakes and managing the office coffee club. Anyone who knew Linda knew she loved her coffee and donuts. Linda enjoyed planning parties, baking and cooking. She was famous for her jams, banana bread, Christmas cookie platters, hot turkey, BBQ, potato salad, and deviled eggs. She loved her flowers and flower gardens, knitting, crocheting, and sewing. Linda could do it all. She was on a bowling league and an active groupie, following her son’s band Next Myle. She also loved her Green Bay Packers. She belonged to Sacred Heart Catholic Church and later American Martyrs Catholic Church. Linda glowed when she would talk about her grandchildren. They were her pride and joy, and she would never miss a function that one would be active in. Linda leaves behind her husband, Robert Fraker of Aurora, WI; a son, Kevin (Joyce) Fraker of Kingsford, MI; a daughter, Jackie (Steven) Dillabough of Kingsford, MI; her grandchildren, Carter, Chloe, Christina Fraker, Lindsey Fraker, Kaitlyn and Joshua Peterson and a very special great-granddaughter, Sabrina Fraker; two brothers, Ted (Sherrie) Johnson of Aurora, WI and Glen (Gertie) Church of Aurora, WI; brothers-in-law, Art Breithaupt of Aurora, WI and David (Debbie) Fraker of Homestead, WI; Sisters-in-law, Ellen (Rodger) Roehrborn of Marshfield, WI and Chris (John) Zillmer of Green Bay, WI; special aunts, Connie Nadiger and Deanna Hughes; her special friends who provided love and support throughout Linda’s illness, Carmen Davis, Heidi Smith-Massa, Cathy Tomasoski, Cathy Pluff, and Karen Nardi. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Char Church, Henry and Betty Fraker; a sister, Lisa Breithaupt; a sister-in-law, Roxanne Church and a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Betty Ann (Tim) Jeffords. The family of Linda would like to thank Unity Hospice and Maryhill Manor for all the wonderful care. Linda was a kind and gentle soul. Those who knew her, loved her. She will be greatly missed by all. Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 from 9:00 am to 10:30 am at Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home in Iron Mountain. Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Aurora, WI. Father Mike Lightner will officiate.
