Linda Lou Chapman

Linda Lou Chapman, 74, of Kingsford, was granted her angel wings on Thursday, June 23, 2022, with her loving family by her side at Marshfield Medical Clinic - Dickinson County in Iron Mountain. Linda was born on January 16, 1948, in Iron Mountain, daughter of the late Robert and Mavis (Martin) Paquette. Linda graduated from Kingsford High School in 1966. She worked at Kmart in Iron Mountain for many years until retirement. On April 28, 1989, Linda was married to Orville “Stormy” Chapman in Iron Mountain, MI. In her healthier years she enjoyed gardening, ceramics classes, playing on pool leagues with friends, going to Lake Antoine with family and her dog, fishing, playing Bingo, and she loved going to the Chip-in Casino with her mother. She was also a huge Green Bay Packer fan and made it a point to watch the games. Linda had a fond love for animals and had many cherished pets over the years. Most of all, Linda loved her time spent with family, friends, her daughter and grandchildren, and most recently enjoyed playing her favorite card game Skip-Bo with her girls. Linda was a kind soul with a golden heart and will be missed so very much. Linda is survived by her daughter, Jodi (Gary) Pearson; granddaughters, Mackenzie (Ethan) Metras and Bailey Pearson; great-granddaughter, Brynlee Metras; sister, Sandy Gustafson and a brother, Richard Paquette; her lifelong friend, Pat Rugg, and her very special friend, Johnny; along with many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one sister, Roberta Chagnon; one brother, Gary Paquette; and her late husband, Orville Chapman; also her most special dog, Charlie. Visitation will be at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home, 901 Carpenter Ave. from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, with Fr. Joseph Gouin officiating the Funeral Service at 5:00 PM. Linda's family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to all the staff at Promedica Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility, as well as all staff at the Dickinson County Hospital for the care that was provided to Linda.
