"LeAnn Marie Black" QUINNESEC- LeAnn Marie Black, 6, affectionately known as "little bug," of 669 Bluff St., Quinnesec, died Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2005, at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital in Iron Mountain. LeAnn was in kindergarten at Woodland Elementary School. She attended church and Sunday school at Calvary Lutheran Church in Quinnesec. LeAnn loved cheerleading. She had just finished her second cheerleading clinic and had recently performed at the Kingsford varsity basketball game this past Friday night. She loved and collected horses. LeAnn also loved her dog, Scruffy. Riding and steering "scoop" the backhoe and going to the little house to hunt were some of her favorite things to do. LeAnn is survived by her mother, Traci Oliver of Quinnesec; her father, Douglas (Liz Young) Black of Kingsford; her sister, Olivia Marie Oliver of Quinnesec; maternal grandparents, Doug and Joan Oliver of Quinnesec; paternal grandparents, Eugene and Rae Black of Sagola; maternal great-grandparents, Paul and Phyllis Forstrom of Quinnesec and Barbara Oliver of East Kingsford; Godparents, "Unc" Paul Oliver of Quinnesec and special cousin, Kati Jo Anderson of Niagara; uncles, Gene Black of Sagola and Mark (Sherrie) Black of Iron Mountain; aunt, Amy Galbraith of Quinnesec; great-aunts and uncles, Kathy Jo (Joe) Anderson of Niagara, Wis., Leila (Jim) Canavera of Quinnesec, Gary (Laurie) Oliver of Aurora, Wis. and Bob Oliver of Green Bay, Wis.; a cousin, Logan Galbraith and her special friends, Sydney and Sabrina Wickman and Sydney Corsi. LeAnn was preceded in death by her great grandpa, Dale Oliver, great great-grandma, Emily Nelson and uncle, David "Uncle Buck" Oliver. Visitation will held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m Friday at Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home of Iron Mountain and from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday at Calvary Lutheran Church in Quinnesec. Funeral services will be at 11a.m. Saturday at Calvary Lutheran Church. Licensed Lay Minister, Cynthia E. Cowen will officiate. Pallbearers will be, Douglas Oliver, Paul Oliver, Paul Forstrom, Gene Black and Eugene Black Burial will be at the Quinnesec Cemetery. A memorial will be established in her memory.
