Joyce J. Janeshek

Our mom, Joyce J. Janeshek (forever 39) left us peacefully on Easter Sunday morning, March 27, 2016. Mom was born and raised in Quinnesec, Michigan, the daughter of the late Clarence and Angeline (Bianco) Johnson. She graduated from Kingsford High School. Mom married our dad, Gerald (Jerry) Janeshek on May 22, 1948 at Quinnesec United Methodist Church. They cherished 57 years of marriage. He preceded her in death on October 11, 2005. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Iron Mountain, Michigan, where she served as secretary of the United Methodist Women. She worked in retail for many years at S.S. Kresge Co. and Ben Franklin. Mom took great pride in her flower gardens, especially her beautiful begonias, roses, and peonies. We always teased her about entering them in the Dickinson County Fair. She was an avid bowler for many years. She loved to coffee klatch with all of her dear friends. She enjoyed the many bus trips that she and dad took to various place across the United States. Mom was always "Grambo" to her grandchildren - it always put a smile on her face. Mom eventually moved to Green Bay to be closer to her kids and grandkids. She attended her "ladies day out" at Curative Connections Insiders II program on a weekly basis. She always came home with "creative" craft items...favorites were the pictures she colored beautifully. Mom is survived by her son Russell (Patti) Janeshek of Green Bay along with her grandchildren Brian, Tina, Staci, and Stephanie, he daughter Wendy (David) Hulce of DePere along her grandchildren Megan, Brianna, and Jayden. She is also survived by her two sisters, with whom she was inseparable Tess Castelaz of Norway and Thelma Rodman of Quinnesec, two sisters-in-law Joyce Shewmaker of Kingsford and Lois Johnson of Green Bay, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers Clarence "Bic" Johnson and David Johnson. Mom is also preceded in death by many sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, as well as many wonderful nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Thursday from 10am-12 noon at First United Methodist Church in Iron Mountain. Funeral services will follow at 12 noon at the church. Rev. Walter Reichle will officiate. Burial will be in Quinnesec Cemetery. We don't know how you folks do it, but there's a special place in heaven for each and every one of you. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
