Ivy Pearl

Ivy Pearl Lee, 92, of Iron Mountain,was called home by her Lord and Savior on Friday, Aug. 6, 2010 at HCR ManorCare in Kingsford with her family by her side. She was born on Aug. 4, 1918, in Iron Mountain, daughter of the late Stephen and Ella (Perkins) Tremain.She was a lifelong resident of Iron Mountain, and the last surviving member of her family.Ivy attended the Iron Mountain schools. She married William H. Lee on June 15, 1942, and he preceded her in death on Oct. 3, 1978. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church for many years. She enjoyed ceramics, reading, traveling, and sleeping. She loved going to camp, trips to the casino,bingo, and her dogs. She was a wonderful wife, sister, mother, grandmother and friend. She warmed your heart with her smile, and was a very giving person. She loved her family very much and you could not ask for a better mother or mother-in-law. In her early years, she loved to go to camp with her husband and they also liked riding motorcycles and snowmobiles. She is survived by two sons, William H. Lee Jr. and David J. (Doris) Lee, both of Iron Mountain; five grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Ivy was preceded in death by a grandson, Stephen A. Lee on Dec. 6, 1976, four brothers, Roland, Reuben, Arthur, and Sidney Tremain, and three sisters, Philothea Lindstrom, Mary Lange and Almyra "Mimi" Johnson. The visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the Erickson-Rochon and Nash Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 12 noon at the funeral home. Rev. David Anderson will officiate. Burial will take place in Iron Mountain Cemetery Park. Pallbearers will be William H. Lee, Jr., David Lee, Jr., Jason Lee, Dale Ward, Sr., Jim Moore, and Michael Badini. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in her memory.Any funds donated in her memory will be used for advanced studies in the field of Nursing.
