Irving E. Yaggie

Irving E. Yaggie, 84, of Iron Mountain, walked with Jesus into his eternal home on Sun. March 6, 2016 at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital. He was born on January 22, 1932 in Iron Mountain, the son of the late John and Mabel (Bates) Yaggie. Irving was a truck driver and dispatcher at Michaud Trucking and had worked at Peninsula Beverage. After his retirement he drove the casino bus and was much loved by his passengers. He received an award for outstanding customer service. Irving also drove for Town & Country Ford. Irving enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time at camp with his hunting buddy Jerry Turner. He enjoyed rides in the woods and being outdoors with his friends and family, especially in the fall. He liked to spend his mornings with his coffee buddies. Most importantly, Irving enjoyed being with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Irving will be remembered for his good sense of humor. He was a member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church. Irving is survived by his children Gary Yaggie of Beecher, Cheryl (Dan) Pietrantonio of Iron Mountain, Cynthia Barribeau of Kingsford, Pam (John) Pietrantonio of Sagola, Kim (Vern) Smith of Iron Mountain, and Pattie (Gary) Steeno of Oconto, three brothers Norman (Mary Jo) Yaggie, Lloyd (Lana) Yaggie, and Robert (Ann) Yaggie, two sisters Joyce (Will) Riel and Jean Lange, eleven grandchildren Chad (Missa) Yaggie, Christopher (Andra) Pietrantonio Jason (Bonnie) Pietrantonio, T.J. (Shari) Pietrantonio, Allan Barriabeau, Summer (Andy) Hendrickson, Samantha (Marceal) Pietrantonio, Jereme (Kandace) Smith, Paige (Kyle) Smith, Andrew (Holly) Steeno, and Amber (Ross) Ruatti, eleven great grandchildren Gage, Lacey, Elle, Macy, Paityn, Presley, Parker, Alayna, Logan, Trinity, and Amber, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one granddaughter Sarah Pietrantonio, one sister Laverne Ellis, and five brothers Donald, Harold, Leonard, Warner, and Raymond Yaggie. Private family services will be held. The family would like give a special thank you to his grandson, Jereme Smith , who with his medical knowledge was able to aid in his grandpa's care.
