"Donald Michaud" IRON MOUNTAIN - Donald G. Michaud, 81, of 9216 Davis St. Iron Mountain, died Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2005, at his home. He was born on March 31, 1924, the son of the late George and Edith (Gustafson) Michaud. Donald was an accomplished carpenter. As an avid outdoorsman, he could be found in the woods logging or hunting. He even had his own sawmill. He was a very dedicated member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church where he did a lot of carpentry work and helped as the project manager for the addition to the church. After many fishing trips to Canada, Don and his fishing buddies were featured in Argosy Magazine. Don also enjoyed reading, listening to music, and playing the guitar. He had a great sense of humor. He was always willing to share his time and talents with others and to help anyone in need. He will always be remembered as a loving uncle and his family was very important to him. Don is survived by his nieces and nephews, Vicki (Tom) Luoma of Sault Ste. Marie, Mark (Sarge) Anderson of Niagara, Wis., Jeff (Jennifer) Michaud of Iron Mountain, Greg Michaud of Mundelein, Ill., and Kris (Alex) Khor of Iron Mountain; a brother-in-law, Glenn Anderson of Iron Mountain; a sister-in-law, JoAnn Michaud of Iron Mountain; an aunt, Ruth Saxon of Iron Mountain; a special cousin, Adolph (Joyce) Gustafson of Iron Mountain and great nieces and nephews, Karolyn Hyde, Steve (Stacy) Luoma, Cale, Shea, and Macrea Anderson, Andy and Ryan Michaud, and Natasha, Alyssa, and Mya Khor. He was preceded in death by his brother, Gerald Michaud and his sister, Margie Anderson and a great nephew, Craig Anderson. Visitation will be held on Friday from 5 p.m. to 7 pm at Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at the church. Rev. Lee Liverance will officiate. Pallbearers will be Mark, Cale, Shea, and Macrea Anderson, Jeffrey Michaud and Tom and Steve Luoma. Condolences can be expressed to the family of Donald Michaud online at www.ernashfuneralhomes.com.
