Dennis R. Harrison

Dennis R. Harrison 64, of Iron Mountain, passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at U.P. Health System of Marquette. He was born on November 19, 1952 in Passiac County, New Jersey, son of the late Robert and Alice (Williams) Harrison. He was raised in Lincoln Park, New Jersey and attended Boonton High School in Morris County, New Jersey, graduating in 1970 and went on to attend Montclair State College where he received his Bachelors of Arts Degree and then onto Rutgers University where he received his Masters of Business Administration and was elected a member of Beta Gamma Sigma. Dennis was also a Math Major. Dennis worked as a Senior Project Manager/ Programmer with ATT/Lucent Technologies where he received many awards for his superior performance, until his disease forced him in to early retirement. He moved from his home in New York to Iron Mountain in 2009, where he met and married his soul mate, Kristine M. Dupuis on August 20, 2016 at the St. Mary and St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was also a member of St. Mary and St. Joseph Catholic Church. In his free time he loved to trade stocks and manage his own retirement money. In his earlier years he thoroughly loved his work and all of the traveling it allowed him to do. Recently he loved spending time with his family and friends, always bringing joy into their lives and with such a positive attitude. Words cannot describe what a wonderful person he was. Dennis is survived by his loving wife, Kristine "Sweetie Pie" Dupuis of Iron Mountain; his daughter, Sarah Jane Harrison of Boston, Mass.; step children, Holly Schaut of Iron Mountain, Aaron Cramer of Gladstone, and Cammie Rose Cramer (Jeremy Jansen) of Green Bay, WI; grandchildren, Dustin Schaut, and Conlan, Alexis, and Phoenix Cramer; a sister, Patty (Daniel) Grant of New Jersey, their children: Daniel Grant of Pinebrook, New Jersey, and Laura Steiner of Boonton Township, New Jersey, brothers, Jim (Bev) Harrison of Georgia and children; James Harrison of Evans, Georgia and Brandon Harrison of Paducah, Kentucky; and brother, Michael Harrison of Virginia; a sister-in-law: Patricia Harrison of Cedar Grove, New Jersey [Robert’s wife] and her children: Robert Harrison of Rochelle Park, New Jersey, and Maureen Mulreany of Wayne, New Jersey; brothers and sisters in-law, Sunni Dupuis of Niagara, Daniel Dupuis of Niagara, Robert Dupuis of Kingsford and Donna (Gene) Leslie of Niagara, Mother-in- law, Geraldine Dupuis of Niagara; a special nephew, caregiver and Best Man at his wedding, Zachary Mills; he is further survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his Father-in-law, Robert Dupuis, a stepson, Jessie Cramer and his brother, Robert Harrison. The visitation will be held on Thursday, September 28, 2017 from 9:00 am to 10:30 am at St. Mary and St. Joseph Catholic Church in Iron Mountain. The Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 am at the church. Fr. Jose Cherian will offer the Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be in Iron Mountain Cemetery Park. Condolences to the family of Dennis R.
