Deanna L. "Dee" Ebertsch

Deanna L. “Dee” Ebertsch, 78, of Granite Bluff, passed away on Friday, September 6, 2019 at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital in Iron Mountain. Dee was born May 2, 1941 in Chicago, IL, daughter of the late Rudolph and Frances (Baribeau) Baacke. She graduated from Revis High School in Chicago, IL in 1957 and on October 1 of that same year, Dee was united in marriage to John “Jack” Ebertsch in Hernando, MS. They moved to her family's camp land in Granite Bluff in 1971. Jack preceded her in death in 2013 after 56 wonderful years together. Dee was involved with the Friends of the Museum and the Iron Mountain Senior Center. She enjoyed wildlife, gardening, researching family genealogy and making homemade caramels for family and friends. She loved to do embroidery and would make gifts for everyone. Dee was a caring person who was always there for anyone who needed her. Dee loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her son, Brett (Patti) Ebertsch of Granite Bluff; her daughter, Star (Kent) Martin of Randville; seven grandchildren: Casey (Josh) Patnode, Joseph (Jessica) Ebertsch, Jason (Sarah) Ebertsch, Erica (David) Werner, Mandy (Dave) Shogren, Cody Martin (June Hanson) and Frances Martin (Wesley Rudd); eight great grandchildren: Lindsay, Addyson, Caylee and David James Shogren, Olivia Ebertsch, Gavin Snowden, Aubrey Anderson and Norah Jo Werner; a brother, Art (Pat) Baacke of Granite Bluff; a sister, Susan (Rudy) Mashak of Iron Mountain; sister-in-law, Delores Ebertsch of Chicago Ridge, IL; several nieces and nephews including a special nephew, James Ebertsch Jr.; and her beloved pets, Rusty & Charlie. In addition to her parents and husband, Dee was preceded in death by a son, Jon "Josh" Ebertsch in 2011. Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 10, from 3:00 to 5:00 P.M. at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home of Iron Mountain. A memorial service will follow at 5:00 pm the funeral home. Dee’s daughter-in-law, Patti Ebertsch will lead the service celebrating her life. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in her memory.
