"Claradean L. Thomas" QUINNESEC- Claradean L. Thomas, 83, of Quinnesec, died Friday, Dec. 3, 2004, at Maryhill Manor Nursing Home in Niagara, Wis. Claradean was born Nov. 20, 1921 in Niagara, Wis., daughter of the late Anton and Exilda (Pellerin) Amond. She was a graduate of Niagara High School in 1940, residing in the area her entire life. Claradean married Gordon Thomas on July 12, 1947 in Niagara, Wis. She was an active member of the choir and altar society at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Quinnesec for many years until the church closed. Claradean volunteered at the V.A. Hospital for several years. She was a member of American Martyrs Catholic Church in Kingsford. Claradean loved music, playing the guitar and enjoyed sing-alongs. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Gordon; a son, Robert (Elaine) Thomas of Kingsford; six daughters, Jean Marcell of Shawano, Wis., Virginia (Lawrence) Easley of Wayne lower Michigan, Margaret (Michael) Wilcox of Kingsford, Elaine Thomas (special friend, Tina Marie Baeten) of Green Bay, Wis., Diane Sisak of Iron Mountain and Phyllis (Scott) Rappi of Kingsford; one sister, Louise (George) Hohol of Niagara, Wis.; 13 grandchildren, Jason (Renee) Marcell, Troy (Michelle) Marcell, Adam Marcell (Farah Forsythe), Brian (Christine) Easley, Tom (Katie) Easley, Melissa Easley (finance Jon Orweller), Daniel Wilcox (Kelly Saari), Tony (Kelly) Wilcox, Matthew (Sandy) Thomas, Stacy and Stephanie Thomas and Tyler and Lauren Rappi; and five great-grandchildren, Tristen and Dylan Marcell, Andrew Easley, Casandra Somes and Layla Thomas. Claradean was preceded in death by six sisters and three brothers. Visitation will be held on Monday, Dec. 6, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at American Martyrs Catholic Church in Kingsford. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at the church. Father Joseph Gouin will offer the Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be in Quinnesec Cemetery. Claradean's grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
