Brent A. Recla

Brent Allen Recla, 38, of Vulcan, MI died Friday, April 26, 2019 at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay due to injuries sustained in a car accident on April 13, 2019. He was born August 10, 1980 in Iron Mountain, son of Dean and Renee (Chartier) Recla. Brent was raised in the Niagara area and graduated from Niagara High School in 1999. Brent married his high school sweetheart, Nikki Williams, on September 18, 1999 at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church. He was employed at M J Electric and most recently at Michaels Corp. as a machine operator. Brent’s wife and his three children were at the center of his life. He was very involved in his daughters' activities and enjoyed all their hobbies, especially 4H and raising pigs. He loved to just hop in the car with his family and friends and take off for the day on a “U.P. Adventure." Brent’s goal was to provide well for his family, walk his girls down the aisle, and in his retirement, enjoy watching their families grow. He was an avid outdoors man and loved hunting and guns. He enjoyed many hunting trips with his family and friends. If you struck up a conversation pertaining to hunting, you could expect to get an earful. Every year, he looked forward to camp and all the preparations, the camaraderie, and the hunt. Brent was a member of the Local Union IBEW #2150. He spent lots of time on and off the clock with the guys at work and considered them his second family. Brent was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Richard and Faye Recla, and maternal grandparents, Jack and Marlene Chartier. He is survived by his wife, Nikki; three daughters, Bryanna Recla (Zach), Mykenzie Recla, and Taylor Recla; his parents, Dean and Renee Recla of Niagara; two brothers, Robbie (Whitney) Recla of Green Bay, WI and Adam Recla (Nicole) of Niagara, WI; In-laws, Ericka and Jon Sleeter of Niagara; brother-in-law, Matt Miller of Iron Mountain; grandmother-in-law, Jackie Hedlund of Iron Mountain; special friends, Cooper, Dave, and Greg; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home in Iron Mountain. Memorial services will be at 1:00 pm on Saturday at Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home in Iron Mountain. Rev. Paul Strom will officiate.
