Bernadette C. Jansen

Bernadette (Bern) Jansen, 96, of Iron Mountain, passed away Thursday, November 5, 2020 at Victorian Pines Assisted Living in Iron Mountain. She was born November 21, 1923 in Milwaukee, WI, daughter of the late John and Mayme (Weber) Jansen. Bern was a 1941 graduate of Iron Mountain High School. She worked for the Wisconsin-Michigan Power Company for 35 years, working as the secretary to the President of the company located in Iron Mountain and a member of the Power Company “Girls” Club, retiring in 1986. She was also a member of the Wisconsin Electric Veteran’s Organization. Bern was a lifelong member of St. Mary’s and St. Joseph’s Church in Iron Mountain. She was an avid supporter of Girl’s Basketball at Iron Mountain High School and she was a lifetime supporter of her beloved Green Bay Packers. Bern is survived by three nieces, Mary Pancheri (Rebecca) of Drake, CO; Mary Ann Adler (Tom) of Fond du Lac, WI; Barbara Zingsheim (Tom) of Crivitz, WI; one nephew, Jerry Pancheri (Judy) of California; ten great nieces and nephews; Cassandra (Pancheri) Rodriguez of Concord, NC; and Michael A. Pancheri of Kenosha, WI; Ann Adler of Fond du Lac, WI; Robert Adler (Heather) of Oshkosh, WI; Jason Zingsheim of Waupun, WI; Matt Zingsheim of Waupun, WI; Kelly (Zingsheim) Mueller of Beaver Dam, WI; Shawn Sullivan of California; Ryan Pancheri of California; Jamie (Pancheri) Spears of Ft. Collins, CO; and twelve great-great nieces and nephews. Aunt Bern was loving and devoted to her nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her brothers Mark Jansen of San Francisco, CA; John Jansen of Fond du Lac. WI; her sister Margaret (Jansen) Pancheri of Iron Mountain; and nephew Michael G. Pancheri of Kenosha, WI; and many dear friends and family. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at 10:00 am St. Mary’s and St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Iron Mountain. Fr.Janusz Romanek will officiate. Burial will be in Cemetery Park, Iron Mountain.
