Bambi Grismer

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. - Bambi Jean (Joi) Grismer, 28, of Farmington Hills, born in Norway on Oct. 10, 1980, passed into God's arms of peace on March 15, 2009. She is survived by parents, Linda and Alan Grismer, 388 Fox Drive, Kingsford; brothers, Ryan (Katie) Grismer and son, Riley of Grand Rapids, Mich., and brother, Jamie (Kristin) Cahee and children, Zane, Alex and Zoe of Kingsford; fiance, Brandon Hutchison of Farmington Hills; close and special friends, Kathy and Craig Heichel and daughter, Robin, of Southfield, Mich.; grandparents, the late Betty and Toivo Anderson of Kingsford, and Janet and Harvey Grismer of Kingsford, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Bambi's name means "Child," "Little Girl." As a young child Bambi loved to hover over and protect her little brother, Ryan. She loved her big brother, Jamie who in turn protected her. She celebrated life and all holidays with so much joy and happiness. She loved to pick bouquets of daisies and dandelions and bring them to her mother. She also loved to sit near her daddy and read books with him. As an adult she loved cooking for her boyfriend, Brandon, and sharing their love of music together. Bambi and Brandon planned to be married as soon as he received his Ph.D and they would begin their new life as man and wife. Bambi greatly supported him as he is getting his education as a mathematics teacher. Brandon supported Bambi as she planned on returning to college in the fall of this year. Bambi had many pets which she treated like her children. Bambi also loved her job working at a pet store. Through her childhood Bambi attended First Covenant Church of Iron Mountain, where she was very active in the church and Sunday school. She also loved Bible camp at Covenant Point on Hagerman Lake. Jesus was always a big part of her life. The people of the church showed her much love and understanding. (Thank you.) Visitation will be held on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Erickson-Rochon and Nash Funeral Home in Iron Mountain. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Rev.
