Marjorie L. Menghini

Marjorie L. Menghini 97, of Iron Mountain, passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at HCR Manorcare Health Services in Kingsford. She was born on June 3, 1920 in Iron Mountain, daughter of the late Chris and Pauline (Bacco) Rigoni. She attended the Iron Mountain Schools, graduating from Iron Mountain High School in 1938. She then went on to attend Northern Michigan University for 3 years, and then a final year at Miss Brown's Business College in Milwaukee, graduating with a Degree in Business. Marjorie married Clarence J. Menghini on June 15, 1946 at the St. Mary and St. Joseph Catholic Church, and he preceded her in death on October 14, 2009 after nearly 64 wonderful years of marriage. She was a lifelong member of the St. Mary and St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was a former member of the IM-K Women's Club, the Daughters of Isabella, Pine Grove Country Club and the Chippewa Club. In her free time she enjoyed golfing, bowling, skiing, watching her grandchildren's activities and was an avid sports fan. Marjorie is survived by her daughters, Cheryl Wender-Menghini of Iron Mountain and Karen (Lothar) Mueller of Neenah, WI; five grandchildren, Marc (Deedee) Wender, Christie (Gary) Lofholm, Jason (Kelly) Wender, and Chris and Alex Mueller; seven great grandchildren, Ashlun, Eli and Elle Lofholm, Avery, Liv, Max and Sam Wender She was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Rigoni and 2 sisters, Victoria Hallenbeck and Jennie Rigotti, two great grandsons Dylan and Lucas Wender, two nephews Ray Hallenbeck and Robert Rigoni, and great nephew Josh Rigotti. The visitation will be held on Monday, October 16, 2017 from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at St. Mary and St. Joseph Catholic Church in Iron Mountain. The Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 am at the church. Fr. Jose Cherian will offer the Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be in Iron Mountain Cemetery Park. Marc and Jason Wender, Alex and Chris Mueller and Gary Lofholm will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Verrette, Chris Rigotti, Mike Werner and Donald Benzie. Condolences to the family of Marjorie L.
