Kathro "Kathy" Ryan

Kathro "Kathy" Ryan 93, of Kingsford, passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at Manor Care Nursing Home in Kingsford. Kathy was born on December 2, 1922 in Mattoon, WI, daughter of the late Raymond and Ethel (Clauss ) Willing. Kathy has been a lifelong resident of this area and was a 1941 graduate of Kingsford High School. She married Francis Ryan on October 25, 1941 in Kingsford. Kathy worked at Ace Walgreen Drugstore in Iron Mountain and later worked at the Kingsford Drug Store, Shopko and K Mart for many years prior to her retirement. Her interests over the years included, spending time with family and bowling with her two sisters. She was a talented crafter and was active with women's circle at First Presbyterian Church in Kingsford. In addition to the church she volunteered at the Breen Senior Citizens Center and used her crafting talents for fundraisers at the Senior Center. She is survived by her sons, Duane (Debbie) Ryan of Breitung Twp. and Randy (Renee) Ryan of Quinnesec; six grandchildren, Lisa (Keith) Baldwin of Kingsford, Darren (Brenda Wheeler) Ryan of Iron Mountain, Kelly Benjamin of Kingsford, Julie (Alan) Barrington of Rock Hill, SC, Miranda (Ken) Scray of Green Bay and Mallory Ryan of Green Bay; great grandchildren, Nathan and Nicholas Baldwin, Bradley and Brianna Ryan, Kevyn Ryan, Kameron and Kyle Benjamin and Trevor Scray; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Francis in 2003; her son, Terry and by two sisters, Jeanette Fournier and Genevieve Rumpf Visitation will be from 9:00am-11:00am Monday, July 18th at First Presbyterian Church in Kingsford. Funeral services will follow at 11:00am at the church. Rev. Michael March will officiate Burial will be in the Quinnesec Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Darren Ryan, Keith Baldwin, Nick Baldwin, Nathan Baldwin, Brad Ryan, Kevyn Ryan, Kameron Benjamin and Ken Scray. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her memory to First Presbyterian Church.
